Barbara Ann Rose

My deepest condolences for the Wolking and Rose family. She was a special lady. I met her at the Kiwanis International Convention in Indianapolus, IN in 2003 My first convention and we shared a room. We had delightful conversation. I also met Paul Rose the same time who also was delightful. I see all the good things they both accomplished and, I am proud to have known them. My sister and I loved to visit the loud and fun-filled home of Aunt Florence and Uncle Cliff in Merritt Island, FL! Barbara was the oldest cousin, my sister's age, while I was the same age as her oldest brother, Henry. Barbara could hold her own in the family with three younger brothers! Maybe this is how she learned to laugh a lot- a trademark she shared with her mom, our Aunt. While at FSU she spent a summer (or was it a year?) in Italy and later I loved hearing her stories!!...

I've known Barbara since the New Orleans Kiwanis International Convention in the early 2000's. I'm so sorry to hear that Barbara passed. Rest in peace dear friend.
