Barbara worked with Linn-Benton-Lincoln Manpower Consortium/Community Services Consortium also. Twice a month she hand signed up to 800 checks to our participants before we finally had the funds to automate our system. She was definitely a hands on commissioner!

My deepest condolences to her family and friends. She touched a lot of people. I was fortunate to have been her Legislative Assistant in the 1997 legislative session -- I loved her quick Texas wit! It always felt like working for Ann Richards or Molly Ivins.
