     Barbara Katherine Runyon, 83, of Thomasville, NC, formerly of Ransom, KY, passed away Tuesday October 22, 2019, at Hinkle House Hospice in Lexington, NC. Barbara was born September 21, 1936, in Pike County, KY, to the late Thurman Hatfield and Bessie Smith Hatfield. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Francis Marion "Bud" Runyon, her son, Terry Wayne Runyon, two brothers and two sisters. Barbara was a homemaker and a member of the Tom's Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Denton, NC.
     Barbara is survived by her children, Wilma (Richard) Martin of Thomasville, NC, Reta (Billy) Medford of Lexington, NC, William (Kathy) Runyon of Isom, KY, Jim (Trish) Runyon of Ransom, KY, Earl Runyon of Frenchburg, KY, Jeff (Machelle) Runyon of Reeds, NC, and Tom (Becky) Runyon of Frenchburg, KY, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and loving family and friends.
     Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Saturday October 26, 2019, at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with Carlton Brown and Loyall Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at Hatfield Cemetery, Big Blue Springs, Ransom, KY, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 - 9 PM Friday night at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home. R.
