Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory - Ballwin Obituary

Barbara “Barb” Ann Saitta of Ballwin, Missouri passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on January 22, 2021. She was born on September 26, 1954 in St. Louis, Missouri, daughter of the late Robert and Jean, nee Harrington, Danner. She is the beloved wife of Bob Saitta and loving mom to Amy (Stuart) Meyer, Bobby (Alicia) Saitta and Paul (Ashley) Saitta. She is a very loved Grandma to August, Brad, John, Nate and Olivia. Barb is the sister of Linda (Tom) Jokerst and Sharon Danner-Schwarztrauber, sister-in-law to Steve (Ellie) Saitta, Mark (Rhonda) Saitta, Dan (Mary) Saitta and Ric (Kate) Saitta. A dear aunt to her nieces, nephews, as well as, to her great nieces and nephews. She is a cherished friend to many.

Barb’s favorite activities were playing with her grandkids, followed by cheering on her kids and grandkids at their sporting events. She was an avid sports fan and loved cheering on the St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Cardinals. She enjoyed being outdoors, planting flowers, staying active and was an animal lover. Barb loved spending time with her family, especially on Sundays for family dinner and hanging out with her friends. She had a you can do it attitude and was never shy to share her opinion, she enjoyed joking around and her contagious laugh was one that would fill whatever room she was in.

A celebration of life will be held post the pandemic.

Not sure what to say?

Bob, I am so sorry to hear of Barb's passing. I met you two a long time ago in our mid-twenties, we had a lot of laughs together through the years
because of the relationship we had with the Rafferty's. Barb and I worked one spring together at the plant stand. I always looked forward to my days working with Barb. She was a no nonsense kind of gal and I had a lot of respect for her. I know there is a big hole in your family, you and all the kids will be in my prayers. God bless you.

We had great times together with Barb while we watched the boys growing up and playing hockey. It was great knowing her and your family. Our sincere and heartfelt sympathy are with you.

I always loved to hear her laugh

Great smile!! You will be missed.

It's been many years but I have many good memories of watching her grow up. I will let David jr. know as he adored her when he was a child.

Barb and I have been friends for over 33 years going back to our daughters starting kindergarten together; but our friendship went way beyond being room mothers together. We were also neighbors all that time and raised our kids together. Our friendship extended beyond our kids. We had countless wonderful times with our husbands as couples. We worked two different jobs together. We had many unforgettable times just hanging out together and with other girlfriends. There were long phone...

You will be missed ❤

I am so sorry for your loss. I am thankful that I had the pleasure to know Barb. My love and thoughts are with you all.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
