I think your mother and my mother were childhood friends. My mother was Sue Sherrod, who lived in Culver City when she was a child. I think I have a picture of her at a Halloween party at your mother´s home about 1940. I remember my mom telling me that one of her childhood friend´s father was Arthur Freed. Will have to pull out that picture and forward it. My mother died just two years ago. In the picture she was a Spanish dancer.
