She was a brilliant woman who was so much fun to be with. At the time, I was also a student at OSU. We had some great discussions. Denny and I send our sincere sympathy.

Barbara's death is a great loss not just to her family but to the cause of philosophy and the academic world.The loss is however mitigated by the numerous publications and grateful students she's leaving behind, and we should be thankful for that. Peace and comfort to her family and all her colleagues.
