It was sad to recently learn of Barbara's passing. I had worked at The Emporium for many years and knew Barbara then. We lost touch after the Big E's closing sent us on different paths and careers. But I remember her as a friendly and kind person. I used to go to her Christmas boutiques that she and Carol Guardino organized in the garage of Barbara's apartment building - selling homemade gifts and decorations and jars of Blackberry jam. I still have an exquisite Christmas wreath of Blue...

Barbara was a wonderful friend to my aunt, Beverley Nelson and would call my aunt every evening to check in on her. After my aunt died in December, Barbara called me a couple of times to offer her condolences and to see how I was doing. She was a lovely person. Sending love and heartfelt condolences to her very good friend and traveling companion, Carol Guardino.

So sorry to read if Barbara’s passing. I have so many fond memories of her and our many fun conversations of people we knew. So sorry we lost touch these last couple of years. Barbara, RIP ❤❤ Yolanda
