Barbara Segatti, 91, formerly of Pen Argyl, passed away, Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Gracedale, Nazareth, in hospice care. Her husband of 57 years, Reno Dal Segatti, passed away, December 3, 2009.


Born in Bangor on October 18, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Lena (Smith) Grigg. 


Barbara graduated from Bangor High School and Churchman’s Business School. 


She retired from the Northampton County Courthouse where she worked for the Honorable Stephen Baratta. 


In her younger years, she enjoyed playing the piano, tennis, line dancing, knitting and cards. For 60 plus years, she hosted Saturday morning coffee hour for the ladies in the area. She also hosted parties for family and friends at her and her husband’s recreation area known as “Segatti’s Dam”.


Barbara was a devout Christian and was a member of First Evangelical Church, Bangor. 


Surviving are two daughters, Cheyann of Nazareth and Lynette of Washington State, along with several nieces and nephews. 


A special thank you to her friend Carol Devlin for helping in her time of need. 


Graveside services will be private.  The Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, Pen Argyl is in charge of arrangements.

Dear Lynett and Cheyann, our deepest sympathies in the the death of your mom. Tighe and I attended her service at st. Elizabeth’s Cemetery this morning and it was a beautiful service. Ron Shipman spoke about Barbara and read scripture from the Bible. Everything he said was so very true. Barbara was a lovely, kind and classy woman. Everyone that knew her loved her .
