Not sure what to say?

As I wind down the skiing season in Aspen I am always reminded of the visit that Barbara and David made to ski out West and that then brings back all my memories of Camp Hatetoquitit and the wonderful weekend every year that the Eisenbergs hosted for all of our wonderful School of Information Studies staff and professors on the lake. Barbara is looking down and remembering teaching me to try and kite surf (unsuccessfully I might add). I am sure she is smiling and laughing. We miss you...

The Masters National Championship was held in Barbra´s home state of NY. I know she was with us in spirit at Gore Mt. we miss you Barbara.

Dear Lauren and Drew, What an incredible woman your mother was and she has left a beautiful legacy (along with your Dad) in the both of you and extended family. She had the light of a falling star, energy of the sun and the jest for life that few ever know. Deeply sorry for your loss. What a beautiful life she had and such a loving family. She is with you in your hearts and spirits always. Love, Theresa

I met Barb ski racing many, many years ago and she was always a bright light in my winter world of ski racing. We became very close when she gave me sage advice on marriage and the effects of deleterious behavior on that sacred union. In 2019, she asked me if I wanted to got to Croatia with her and a friend on an REI trip (cycling/hiking/sea kayaking) and I quickly said YES! I wanted to spend as much time with this dynamic woman as I possibly could. Afterwards, we made more travel plans...

Barbara was the most inclusive, supportive, generous person I know ❤ Since I met Lauren in Mrs Knapps Kindergarden Class at in LaFayette NY in 1986 ( I think?) I feel like Since that year Lauren’s family included me in their fun life. I feel like I grew up at their fun house in LaFayette with “the trolley “ and dogs Gasper and Candy. I remember they had a candy drawer, ha that was so unheard of in my house. Ha. Lauren and Drews second floor where a million pajama parties happened. Barbara...

Lauren, Drew, and whole family - by which, based on this wonderful trbite, we know to be the whole world -- deepest condolences on the passing of your mom, and deepest thanks for sharing stories and insights with us who love you, and through you, can see a bit of the impact of your mom.

You will continue to honor her through your lives because of the life and joy you bring that clearly reflect her gifts to you and to the world. Thanks for sharing her in word and deed!

I'm so sorry for your loss, Lauren. You've written an amazing tribute to your mom, and I only wish I could have met here. Sending love.

Having had the joy of ski racing with Barb, I know how positive she was and enjoyable company. From Quebec, I send you my deepest sympathies. Johanne Gosselin

I remember when Barb and David first bought the farmhouse across the street from us in Lafayette. They went from young city slickers to solid homesteaders pretty quickly. I ended up babysitting the kids pretty regularly and still tell the story of a 2 year old Drew reading his books out loud. Initially it freaked me out until I realized he had them memorized (sorry Drew, busted). Lauren was always fearless which created its own set of babysitter anxieties. I hope they've both achieved...
