Not sure what to say?

In a couple of days, it will have been three years and I still miss Barbara, or Lady Shinpaugh as she was to me. I had so much respect for her and admired her willingness and tireless efforts to help those in need. When our Cahaba Valley Elks Lodge had to be somewhere to engage in an event or to help someone in need, Lady Shinpaugh was the first one there and the last one to leave. Such a fine lady ans such a giving heart. I'm sure a lot of people still miss her as I do!

Mrs Barbara was such a nice and sweet lady. I shared messages with her long after she wasn’t a customer of mine. Looking for her I found this, many prayers to her family! She was an inspiration as she didn’t let her health issues keep her down.

Rest in peace Barbara. You were a great neighbor.

I was so inspired by her hard work and dedication for the benefit of those in need. When someone needed help Barbara did not know how to say no. She set the example for others to follow. Observing Barbara...

I met Barbara many years ago when she was working with UAB Hospice and I as a Hospice Volunteer. She was a delightful person to me around and I remember how comfortable she made me feel. I was able to share some with my patients the ways Barbara had shared in our class.

To the family of Barbara Shinpaugh, please accept our heart felt condolences at the loss of your wife, mother, grandmother and friend. I along with other Shadow Lawn Cemetery volunteers met Barbara about two years ago when she and other members of the Cahaba Valley and Bessemer Elks Lodges volunteered their time and energies to help with the grass cutting and Veterans Day projects at the cemetery. Barbara was a sincere and very dedicated human being who tried to leave things better than what...
