Barbara Singleton Johns

I lived in Rock Hill and attended church with Barbara for a few years. She invited me into her life for my brief stay. She was a generous lady of hospitality, scripturally honest with me and made me not feel like an outsider! It was a privilege knowing she and her momma!

Thank you being there for my daughter. She looked up to, not only as a great teacher but, also as someone she could share things with you. You gave her great advice. You were there for her when she needed it. Not only were you a great friend to me, you were to many people. Thank you for being there. You will be truly missed.

I have many fond memories of Barbara while teaching with her at YCHS. Such a great lady!

Miss Singleton Johns was my favorite teacher in high school. She meant for everyone in her class to learn English, and she taught with love and kindness. She is the reason I silently correct everyone´s use of their, there, & they´re; here, hear; run, ran & have ran, & etc each and every day. I can truly say what she taught me, I use in my work on a daily basis. She was fabulous in my eyes. Condolences and prayers to her family and friends.

Barbara will be missed by so many people because she touched so many lives. I am truly grateful to have been able to call her "my friend." May she rest in eternal peace. My sincerest condolences to the family.
