Barbara Faye Spinks, 86, of Sanger, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021 in Denton, Texas. Born on January 20, 1935 in Sanger, Texas to John Archie Cole and Fannie Faye (McClendon) Cole. She graduated from Sanger High School. She married Lindberg "Lindy" Levine Spinks on June 6, 1953 in Bolivar. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sanger. Barbara had a passion for reading and opened a bookstore, Absolutely Books in Sanger. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Margie Braxton and Sarah Wilkerson, and brother Lee Cole. Left to cherish her memory is daughter, Cindi Edgar of Sanger; a son, John Spinks of Sanger; sister-in-law, Lynda Cole; and one grandson, Jason Wickersham.
