Over 30 years ago Barbara invited me and my wife to a reception at her home for Mstislav Rostropovich after his concert with the Rochester Philarmonic. She was a delightful, vibrant human being with many cultural interests. A true original! In the 90's ran into her in NYC. Think she was working with Tony Randall. Anyhow, she is gone too soon. My sympathy to all who loved her. Al Kuhn

Farewell, Barbara. You were easily the most delightfully zany person I've known, and I treasure my memories of concerts, TV appearances and brunch in airports during your layovers. It was an honor and privilege to serve in my small way as Kazooperman. Thanks to your books and recordings, you leave a valuable legacy. The world is better for your presence but bereft without it.

Bon Voyage Barbara! Take a Kazoo with you so you can gather a band where you are. Keep smiling! And, keep the others smiling too.

I am so sorry to learn of Barbara's passing. We had such a memorable time planning for her to be our keynote speaker at the Horace Greeley Writers' Conference here in Poultney. We will always remember her and the love she had for this area. Many blessings, Linda Nye Knowton

Barbara was an Artist I represented for many years with the Kamimsky's. In addition to being a wonderful person with a marvelous sense of humor. She was as unsunkable as Molly Brown. She and her group performed at Lincoln Center, on the Tonight Show and numerous concert Halls thoughout North America. A wonderful lady who will be missed.

I first met Barbara as a parent of students I was teaching at Allendale Columbia School. Because I was interested in computers, and she was doing technical writing for Kodak about computers, we joined forces and worked together on many projects. Barbara provided the encouragement and business opportunities that helped me prosper in the fields of technical writing and desk top publishing - areas I never would have thought of entering without her guidance.
Every month or so I could...

I knew Mrs. Stewart for most of my life, ever since I met her daughter Whitney in first grade. She fed us, played with us, encouraged us, and made us laugh. She loved to entertain. My love to everyone who is missing this unique and special woman, especially Whitney.
