Barbara was born on February 5, 1953 and passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2019. Barbara attended Chowan College, where she was later named "Person of the Year" in the Womens Recreational Assocation and was inducted into the Chowan College Sports Hall of Fame. Graveside Services will be held Sunday, November 24, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. at the Sykes Family Cemetery with Pastor Tom Spizzirri officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Echols Funeral Home.
