Not sure what to say?

Barb and I go way back. We met at a 6th. grade camp and have been friends for the past 66 years! Our true friendship began when we met in the principal's office at our first teaching job in Shaker Heights, Ohio. Our strong relationship continued when Barb made the move to Arizona. We always treated each other to a birthday dinner, shared most holidays together, and always laughed and had so many fun times. I will miss her and will always feel that strong bond of friendship. I know that she...

She was my drama teacher in 1980 at DVHS. Great teacher and had so much to give. Prayers to her family.

Barb was so persistent in the vision of building the powerhouse that DV theater would become. She had a profound impact on so many of us, myself included, in her diligent support and goal of excellence and individual growth. The memories are many and her impact is dramatic and extensive and truly made an impact in this life. She also created an environment for all relationships to flourish and for such important times in all our lives and development. May you rest in peace and...

One of many inspirations as a teacher at Deer Valley, even though I never had her. She fostered such a loving, dynamic environment. RIP Ms. Surloff.

Barb Surloff (Ms. Surloff, as I knew her when I was her student) was my drama teacher at Deer Valley High School in 1986. She was the best, and we became friends after I graduated. She will be deeply missed. May her life always be a blessing!

An amazing woman, superstar theatre teacher and compassionate human being. She was one-in-a-million in her dedication to her students. Few individuals garner such respect as Barb. My deepest condolences to all who loved her.

I became close to Barb during our senior musical at Charles F Brush High School in South Euclid/Lyndhurst Ohio. When we graduated in 1066 we decorated her mother's car. We spoke last about a year ago. She will be missed! R.I.P. my friend.
