Deepest condolences From Rhine McLin

Momma Symonds! Talk about leaving behind a legacy. Well over 30 years ago I took dance lessons at a small church in Xenia with Ms. Symonds. For years I spent every Saturday morning with her. She ran circles around us young kids and we left exhausted while she was eager for the next group of students to arrive. There will never be another lady quite like her. She lived such a joyous life. I was blessed to know her.

Mrs Symonds shared her love of life and taught others to do the same and reach for their goals. She is missed. Praying for the family, blessings!

She was "Mama Symonds" to me. She was my jazz dance teacher when I was a kid. She was an amazing, loud, spicy woman and I loved her. I've thought about her so many times throughout the years. She will truly be missed.

Sending condolences! Curtis, what an absolutely amazing woman your mother was!!! Gifted teacher, energizer, encourager, passionate, and compassionate, truly touching the lives of all fortunate enough to cross her path!!! Thank you Soror Symonds for your example and the love and kindness you have always extended to my family and me. Rest sweet Soror!!! Much love, Gloria Wade Dillon

Mother Symonds you were so instrumental in my life at Central State University from birth when I entered in 1975 to graduation in 1979. Rest in Heavenly Peace Ms. Symonds until we meet again. You will be missed.

Thank you for challenging us in physical education classes at CSC, now CSU. We learned to utilize the trampoline to increase our mobility as never before.
You were a strong and enjoyable woman . I never forgot you.
