Barbara and my mom used to ride the school bus together and her son Todd is one of my best friends and I know the loss he and his family are going through. My prayers are with Todd and his family through this difficult time but just know she is welcome to heaven with the open arms of Jesus.

Dear Tharpe Family,

Barbara was the kindest, most patient, classy lady I ever met. She had this way about her that motivated and encouraged all around her. In my mind she was an excellent example of what a good woman, wife, mother, grandmother should be. She set a very high standard and will be missed by all fortunate enough to know her. God bless you and keep you in his loving arms.

Roy and family. I just learned of Barbs passing and was shocked. I know how rough this is now and will be for some time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It was a pleasure to be around her - I'll never forget her and Jen cooking chili in the wee hours of the morning.
