Barbara Traeger

Barbara introduced me to the working world and ended up being a wonderful friend and mentor. I still have the briefcase she gave me when I left the Public Relations Department at Evanston Hospital--it was a beautiful gift and incredibly meaningful to me. Barbara was a unique individual--a true Chicago lady. She was smart and talented and spoke her mind: excellent qualities for a young college grad to observe. I still draw on the lessons I learned working with Barbara. She adored her children...

I worked with Barbara as a student intern in the PR office of Evanston Hospital. She was very patient with the naive, unfinished, and idealistic 20-year-old I was then, and she taught me a lot. Working with her was an invaluable career and life experience. Sending my condolences for your loss.

I remember Mrs. Traeger always being so welcoming and kind to me in her home so many years ago. She will be missed by many.Prayers and peace Charles, Cynthia and Henry.
