Barb was a very dear friend and I will miss our visits. We always got together when I hit town, as we had to catch up. My love to Julie and Tommy, Bev Richdale

A very wonderful, generous and caring lady. Without a doubt, one of my most favorite people I have ever known. God bless you Tom and Julie. My heart is very heavy today after hearing this news. I love your Mom a bunch.

Barb always treated us like family after our brother, Kevin, married Julie. We got to know her during our visits to Seattle and through the stories told by her granddaughters, Emma and Maggie (our nieces). Oh how they loved their "Grandma Barb". Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

I was so shocked to read this today in the paper. I've known her for over 40 years. Recently we were in a book club together. with our latest assignment Atlas Shrugged. I was really looking forward to hearing her insight into this book. We had a lot of laughs and she will be sorely missed.

Barbara had such a sweet soul about her. Barbara loved and was a big part of Ballard. It was so interesting about her book and what she knew of Ballards history. Also how she loved the Huskies. She will be very missed!

Barbara was a wonderful friend and mentor to me during our almost 30 years in business together. We had lots of laughs and shared times. There were 3 of us in the court reporting business together - and I can honestly say it will never be the same without her. Barbara always said she was going to write a book about some of the jobs she had. I wish she had done it! It would be a best seller (but I think we would have to sensor some of it, even though it would all have been true!). ...
