Not sure what to say?

When we think of Barb, we will always remember the supportive, professional, and affirming special ed administrator she was and how much she taught us. She was an inspiration to Jeffco staff and a champion for the educational needs of so many children. We will always be grateful to her for recognizing the needs of gifted children with special ed disabilities, especially those on the Autism Spectrum. Her light will forever shine on the field of special education. Thank you for sharing her...

Barb was not only a wonderful friend, but also a very classy lady. Whenever I saw her, the first thing I looked for were the type of shoes she was wearing! I will miss her lovely smile, terrific sense of humor, and most of all her friendship. Thank you for sharing her with us in Colorado.

It was my pleasure to have gotten to know and work with Barb in Jeffco along with others as Directors and Assistant Directors in ISS. She knew her stuff, stayed focused on kids, had a great smile and sense of humor, and liked to talk about cars with me. Do you think she will be driving a Mecedes or a Corvette to heaven? My deepest condolences to the family with this loss of a special mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. SIncerely, Gary

My sincerest and heartfelt sympathy to Matt and his family. I always called Barb G.G., short for "gorgeous girl"! We shared so many laughs on our "annual" garage sale trip looking for just the right gag gifts for her Southern Belle Ball! Barb has a huge "fanclub" in the Jefferson County School System and I feel honored to have been able to work with her in our Special Education office. Barb just "lit up our office" with her grace and humor. Thanks for being friend Barb, I miss you!

Barb will be missed by all of us in JEFFCO. I want to agree with Tria. Barb came with me to do shoe shopping for my daughter, Lindsay's wedding, showers and tea. Within 10 minutes Barb found me 4 perfect pairs of shoes for each occassion @ one store. Barb was my partner for the Gem and Jewelry Show in Denver and we would make an entire day of it! Matt, we think ever so fondly of you and your mom. Your entire family are in our thoughts and prayers...And Barb, our Special Ed Leadership team...

I am heartsick about the passing of my beautiful friend, Barb. She was a gift of goodness, light, humor, class, elegance, knowledge and wisdom to all of us who knew and loved her. She was beautiful inside and out, and truly a lady in the best sense of the word. I loved her dearly...and I extend to all of you, her beloved family and many dear friends, my deepest sympathy. Though she was taken from us way too soon, I think that hers was a life supremely well-lived...and that the sparkle and...

When I think of Barb, I smile. We had this inside joke of "The Cute Shoe Club". We'd see each other at meetings and she would always give me a thumbs up regardless if I had my ugliest, beat up, scuffed shoes on that day. She always wanted to say something positive to make someone else feel good. As a "baby principal", she taught me so much about special education law, policies and procedures. I will be forever grateful for her wit, utmost professionalism and extensive knowledge. I will miss...

Bill & Mary Jane, We were so sorry to hear about your Sister's passing, out thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time.

I was so blessed to have had a frendship with Barb. She made every situation come alive with her electric personality, compassion, spontanaiety, and honesty.
