When we think of Barb, we will always remember the supportive, professional, and affirming special ed administrator she was and how much she taught us. She was an inspiration to Jeffco staff and a champion for the educational needs of so many children. Barb was not only a wonderful friend, but also a very classy lady. Whenever I saw her, the first thing I looked for were the type of shoes she was wearing! I will miss her lovely smile, terrific sense of humor, and most of all her friendship. Thank you for sharing her with us in Colorado.

My sincerest and heartfelt sympathy to Matt and his family. I always called Barb G.G., short for "gorgeous girl"! We shared so many laughs on our "annual" garage sale trip looking for just the right gag gifts for her Southern Belle Ball! Barb has a huge "fanclub" in the Jefferson County School System and I feel honored to have been able to work with her in our Special Education office. Barb just "lit up our office" with her grace and humor. Thanks for being friend Barb, I miss you!

When I think of Barb, I smile. We had this inside joke of "The Cute Shoe Club". We'd see each other at meetings and she would always give me a thumbs up regardless if I had my ugliest, beat up, scuffed shoes on that day. She always wanted to say something positive to make someone else feel good. As a "baby principal", she taught me so much about special education law, policies and procedures.
