BARBARA WEISMAN

I just stumbled upon this news by happenstance. I appeared in a mediation with Ms. Weisman in the past and was very impressed with her skills and kindness. My sincerest condolences to her family.

Barbara will be missed tremendously. We grieve with her family here at the Essex Superior Court, CDR Department.

I'm so sorry to hear about Barbara. Last summer we were planning on meeting in NYC where I live. She was bringing her daughter to school very close to where I worked. We didn't get the chance though. Last time I saw Barbara was in 1977 when she was living in NYC and I was still in New Jersey. She was leaving her apartment to move back home to go to Law School. I was looking for an apt in the city and was going to take over her apartment but it didn't work out that way. It was good seeing her...

Grew up with Barbara in North Arlington back in the day. She was a very nice, loving person. In sixth grade we dated for a while. May her name be an inspiration to future generations.

I am an attorney who met Barbara initially in the late 1980's when she represented a defendant on one of my cases. Thereafter, she was the mediator on four cases of mine, all of which settled at very fair amounts of money. She was always pleasant to work with and smart on all the issues in each case. I'm very sorry to hear of her death.

Sincere condolences to the Weisman family. I remember Barbara when she was a student in Bayonne, and again, when she was a student at Rutgers Law School. She was always a delight -- warm and caring, smart and funny, and always thoughtful. She will always be remembered.
