Barbara Ann "Barbe" West

I just heard of Barbe's passing. Barbe was an amazing woman, full of energy and determination, a tremendous sharp wit, and an ability to lead with wisdom and tenacity. I was inspired by Barbe and admired her very much. She was kind to me and always took the time to help me, coach me, and visit with me. She devoted so much passion and hard work to help this community. We owe her a debt of gratitude. Sending my sympathy to her family. She spoke of you all so lovingly.

Barbe West was such a wonderful woman! She always had a smile and nice word to day when she saw you. I am sorry for her family, may then know the joy and find peace in what she has left behind.

I had the privilege of working for a lot of good people during my career at Kaiser Permanente, but Barbe West was the best. In every way, she was the model of a progressive and innovative leader who led with integrity. She was a person who fully lived her values, something that all of us aspire to but seldom achieve.

I worked with Barbe at Kaiser Permanente. I will never forget going out with her to tell employees at Bess Kaiser the hospital would be closing. She was honest and she even cried with them. She was an honorable, forthright, kind person.

Barbe's tireless efforts and strength never went unnoticed. We will miss her greatly.

Barbe was a wonderful person. She was a neighbor to us. She was caring and she was so kind to our kids! We were blessed to know her!

She leaves us with memories of her kindness and compassion for the KP members and staff she served.

No question a wonderful person. She left the world a better place. Peace and healing to her family.
