WINGERT, Barbara Wingert, age 76, passed away in Albuquerque, NM on December 30, 2012. Barbara was born January 23, 1936 in El Paso, TX to John Joseph and Ida Elizabeth (Day) Mullings. Barbara had been a resident of the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho area since the late 1970s. She and her husband operated several auto parts businesses in Albuquerque and the Southwest Region. Barbara is fondly remembered for her dedication and love for her family. She was spirited and independent. Yet, in a short time, she would win the hearts of most people. She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Les; sons, Mark Wingert and wife Nancy, Todd Wingert and wife Jerri; grandchildren, Coda, Tifani and Troy all of Rio Rancho. Barbara is also survived by her brother, Joe Mullings and wife Jean; sisters, Myrna Hughes and husband Lester and Mary Lou Smith all of El Paso, TX. Visitation will be Friday, January 4, 2013 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Daniels Family Funeral Services Southern Chapel, 2400 Southern Blvd SE, Rio Rancho. A Service of Remembrance will take place at 11:00 am with a reception immediately following at Calvary Chapel Rio Rancho, 138 Frontage Road SE in Rio Rancho. Interment will be at Vista Verde Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in memory of Barbara to Calvary Chapel - Rio Rancho, 138 Frontage Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.

Spending time with Aunt Barbara and Uncle Les right after our wedding was an amazing experience. I wish I lived closer and was able to spend more time with her, but you two touched our lives more than anyone will ever know. Our prayers and thoughts go out to you.

Uncle Les, Mark, Todd and families, we are sorry to lose such a wonderful woman like Aunt Barbara. I have such fond memories growing up and having her in our lives. Words cannot express our love for her. Even though we did not see each other often, I know Cindy, the boys and I will miss her greatly.
