Not sure what to say?

We recall first meeting the glamorous mother of Don when he and Manette brought her to church. No surprise that she had been a Rose Queen, Barbara's style always drew eyes! Later, at Prov Benedictine, petite Barbara, tho' not so vivacious, still had that 'style.' Family and friends hold you 'saints' in high regard for the care you provided "Mom's" last years.

"Barbara and I were friends through Rose Festival. We were both former Queens and made many appearances together. She was charming and vivacious and I enjoyed seeing her each year. My memories of her will always be with me. My prayers are with her family and friends." Nancie Williams Muhlee

Dear Don,Trink and Toby

I write this with mixed emotions. I am sad that your mother is gone but then, she left us several years ago. I celebrate her life and her release from the state she was in. She was the greatest in so many ways. We'll all miss her.

Barbara and I were student aides together in the coaches office at Washington high. she was a senior and i was a soph.. she was thinking not to run for princess and we talked about it -- the outcome was great. it was the only parade to stay on the east side of the Willamette using Hawthorne and Grande because of the high water. It rained a lot and she still smiled and waved to all. I really am sorry for your loss, but I hope your memories will stay as warm as mine of her. Cathy Bostwick...

My prayers will include your family and friends.

To the Family:

You never know going through life who you touch. Barbara was in my sister's class at Washington High School. She was a beautiful Rose Festival Queen and represented our city well.

My sympathy to the family.

Barb had a wonderful sense of humor and her bubbly personality and gung-ho persona made her a very special person. My condolences to her children, Don, Connie and Toby; her grandchildren, Ashley, Annika,Amanda, Elliott and McKay. Also to great-grandchild Ryley. Will miss you Barb.

Love,
Georgene (Ormston) Koontz

We did not know Barbara personally, but we knew her granddaughter Ashley. Ashley taught both of my boys(Tyler & Trevor) at Mt View Middle. If Ashley is anything like Barbara, then she is a very special person and will be missed, but not forgotten. For Ashley and the family our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Matthew 5:1-12.
