Barnett Rosenberg

At last, to say that Barney was a pioneer in multidisciplinary research, a warm and ebullient colleague, a maker of serendipity, and a giver of important ethical benefit to humanity only begins to tell us about his ability to see beyond the horizon. I offer humble thanks for his life and sympathies to his family and friends who mourn his death.

My sincere condolences go to the Rosenberg family. Dr. Rosenberg, your persistence and insistence with platinum has inspired many other researchers who have shared your belief in the therapeutic potential of heavy metals for the unselfish benefit of human health.

Barney's influence on the field of inorganic medicinal chemistry will be long-lasting. His remarkable success with platinum anticancer drugs has inspired new generations of researchers to investigate the rational design of therapeutic metal complexes. He will be greatly missed.

I extend my condolences to the Rosenberg family. It was always a pleasure to interact with Barney.

I want to express my heartfelt sympathy to the Rosenberg family on this very sad occasion. Although all of us will miss Barney, his unique and outstanding contributions to science and medicine will keep his memory alive worldwide forever. For those of us who had the good fortune to work in his lab, the experiences are treasured ones. Barney inspired us and was always good to us. We shall miss him.
