Not sure what to say?

Dr. Groves was one of the best men that I have had the honor of working with in martial arts. I was his teacher in Tae Kwon Do, training and promoting him to fully qualified Black Belt. I remember kicking him many times in sparring and having my kicks simply bounce off ineffectually. I was his student in physical education, and considered him my greatest mentor in my physical education study. I speak about him with my students today, as he so impressed me in the time that we got to work...

Dr.

Peace, blessings and healing to the Groves family. I will always remember "Uncle" Barney's kindness and fun sense of humor, as well as his drive and ability to accomplish whatever he set as his goal. I appreciate the good memories and am glad he is now with Our Father and not in pain.

Kathy, thinking of you!!

We were so sorry too. You two were our favorite traveling buddies

Barney R. Groves, Ph.D, Friend and colleague for more than forty years, passed too soon. Shirley and I were very saddened to learn of Barney's death. We, Barney and I shared many good times together as friends, neighbors, and colleagues. He was a man of his word and had a great love of mankind. The world's a lesser place without him.

Kathy,
You have my deepest sympathies on the death of your husband. He will be truly missed. May God's love give you strength in your time of sorrow. We will be praying for strength, peace, and comfort for you and your family.

Kimberly and Steve Geer

My deepest sympathies to the entire Groves family and all of Barney's many friends. I'll always remember sitting next to Barney as we went through financial planning classes at VCU. We became friends and have enjoyed visiting since then. He lived life well and will be sorely missed. Rest in peace, Barney. You left many memories to be cherished and stories to be told.
