This is our dad, Barry William Ackerman. He slipped away quietly this week.

It's hard to put into words what his loss means given he, along with mum, literally gave us everything.

He was a gentle soul, hardworking, endlessly polite, wanted for little, and always put others first. He was punctual, immaculately presented, with a cracking sense of humour.
