Not sure what to say?

I was very sad to read about Barry's passing. I knew him in both of my careers.

When I was a counselor, he had the most wonderful reputation.
His kind and gentle manner was perfect for helping his clients.

When I became a book and paper dealer, I would see him at all of the shows. He was an avid collector of African-American memorabilia and ephemera.

My heart goes out to his friends and family.
The world has lost a very special person.

At a time of great stress and depression in my life, Barry was a godsend as a counselor. I will always be thankful to God for the help I received from him. I am sure God has a special place in heaven prepared for Barry. May God be with his family and friends.

I am so sorry to hear of Barry's passing. I had the good fortune to work with Barry for many years and I learned so much from him. He had the best combination of compassion, toughness and intellect to handle whatever came his way. I am proud to call him my friend.

It is so hard to believe that this beautiful man is gone. He was such a sweetheart and had such a remarkable spirit. He accepted his fate with incredible courage and grace and was an inspiration to all those around him. He loved his family dearly. His wife, daughters and mother gathered around him with such care and devotion. He was crazy about his three grandsons! I just can't believe he is gone. What is not gone, is the good work he did to support and help men and women recover from...
