Not sure what to say?

Barry was a coach at Port Huron Northern H.S. When I played, then coached with, and became a close friend. I spent a few times at the cabin in Brimley. He was a real friend, a great part of my life and many lives. Missed everyday.

Coach Armstrong was a tremendous influence on me. He always wanted you to do your best and sometimes helped you "gently" along the way. He will be missed and the family should know that he was respected and loved by many of his previous students!! Many thoughts and prayers to the family at this difficult time.

Barry was a great mentor to me in my student teaching and coaching at Port Huron Northern in the 1970's. He was fun to work with and one of the best motivators I have ever seen. I learned so much about football and life in general from this wonderful man. Pauline, my deepest sympathy to you and the children--Monica, Juliana, Mark, Vanessa and Vincent. I can only imagine how difficult this time must be for all of you. May the beautiful memories fill your hearts.

My heart ached when I heard this news. Thoughts and prayers to Barry's family during this sorrowful time. Pauline, may you and your family find some comfort and peace as you celebrate his life. He meant so much to me throughout my life as he did many others. Had many good times and visits. He was quite a man, loved him. Craig Dahlke

I coached with Barry at Port Huron Northern High school
He was a well respected coach, friend and teacher. The students and all his players loved the big guy. We, who coached with him learned so much about football and life from him. God blessed us for the time he spent with the Port Huron School District. God Bless his wife and Family.

barry was a great person to be around, he was my roommate at NMU , many fond memories will be missed.
