Not sure what to say?

I'm so saddened. I was a close friend of Barry's growing up....back when we shared the Beatles after our Hebrew School days. We had re-connected about a year ago but living in different states did not get a chance to get together again. I'll always remember him with a smile and I wish many happy memories for his family.

If not for Barry and his long-ago Lawrence band, Tofu Teddy and the Brown Rice Cowpeople, I seriously doubt that I would've met the love of my life, Barney. We were both attending one of their shows at what used to be Off the Wall Hall (currently the Bottleneck) and serendipitously met, as he was getting ready to leave town for a while & had come from Topeka for a friend's birthday--a friend who happened to be my neighbor. Gene and all of us at Theatre for Young America send our deepest sympathies. The world has lost a talented and gifted performer for young people. He will surely be missed.

Our condolences to the family, however, I think heaven just became a little more lively with his infectious laughter and bright spirit. His gift of bring bringing individuals together and uniting them as a community was truely a blessing to experience.

My condelences once again to the family in your loss, he will greatly be missed here in this place.

My sincere condolences to the entire family. I haven't seen Barry in years, but have fond memories of growing up across the street from him (on Delmar) in the 1960's. I know he will be missed.

Thank you Barry for your beautiful life! You made people get TOGETHER with love, humor, and music. Courage and love to Laura, Leah, and Sydney.

Mrs. Harris and Families,

So sorry to hear of your loss, although I never met your husband I can tell by all the talk and the entries he was a great person.

May God wrap his arms around your entire family and receive Barry in his blessed hands.

May God bless you all now and always.
Que Dios los bendiga hoy y siempre.

He touched many lives in our area and will be missed every time I see or read Where the Wild Things Are...

Our son will miss seeing Bongo Barry when he would come up to school to see him. I know he is playing for all the kids in heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family.
Sincerely,
The Spears Family
