I was going thru some old emails and found one from you today .... way back in 2006. I still don't think I can delete it. Please know that you have not been forgotten.

It's been a year. We haven't forgotten you. We're still not over it. But we'll love and smile and sing, as you did! Because we knew you, we have been changed... for good.

I met Barry when he was choir director at EB, what a ray of sunshine he was to everyone he met. Not often do you meet an individual that inspired so many people in so many ways!

There was only one Dr. Bowe and he is gone forever. Words cannot express how sad I am that the Shining Star of Northwest School of the Arts will no longer be walking the halls with his funny ties and bright smile. Always generous, caring, courageous, and kind. Dr. Bowe - is simply the best! (Cindy Harding, Matthews, NC)

Barry was a music major at Virginia Intermont College and studied music theory and the pipe organ with me. He was an exceptional student in every way, and I have followed his career with great pride. We would visit on the telephone a couple of times a year, and we would also make a plan to see each other when he came to NYC with his "kids" on a theater trip! I am devasttaed by the news and the circumstances of Barry's death as a very bright light has been dimmed.

Northwest will never be the same we lost a great man one who actually cared for the school and students and staff alike he cared about all the arts and was the most supportive and will be greatly missed even though i only had him as my principal for 3 years that 3 years he still did so much for us and he will be greatly missed by everyone.
