Barry Paul Michael Comer

COMER, Barry Paul Michael Comer - Of Durand, age 71, died Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Durand Senior Care & Rehab Center.

Per Barry’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services held.

Contributions may be made to the Michigan Railroad History Museum in Durand or the Shiawassee Council on Aging.

Barry was born in Flint, Michigan on May 9, 1950, the son of the late Daniel and Laura Comer and adoptive parents, Paul and Grace Semish. Barry graduated from Grand Blanc High School, Class of 1968. He was a member of the Michigan Assessors Association. Barry enjoyed model trains, reading and his dogs and cats. For many years Barry worked for the railroad and he retired as a MAAO Level 3 Assessor.

Surviving are brother, Kevin Comer;

Brothers-in-law, Jerry LaFerney and Dennis Dority;

Sister-in-law, Jan Comer;

Nieces, Jeri Kaupp, Jodi (Jeff) Dobbs and Robyn (Jeff) Moore;

Nephews, Troy Dority, Rick (Rebecca) Dority and John (Matthew Ciszewski) Comer II;

Many other nieces and nephews;

And best friend, Sherri Fink.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Myrna Lynch, Easter Horton, Sandra Dority and Sheila LaFerney and brother, John Comer Sr.
