Barry Commoner was my botany professor at Washington University. He inspired us to believe that as individuals, we could have a real impact on the world around us. His lectures were riveting and very often at the end of class, we'd give him a standing ovation.
Wonderful professor and a great man. Dr. Commoner, we'll miss you profoundly.
