Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry responding to this almost a year late but I just learned about Barry's passing a minute ago on receipt of an e-mail from a NYANG JA colleague who himself only just heard about it, and let us, who knew and had fond memories and warm thoughts of Barry, know of this most sad news.

My deep belated condolences to Barry's loving family. My memories of our time together as NYANG JAGs, have a warm place in my heart. Barry was full of fun, passionate about his beliefs and...

I served with Barry at McGuire AFB in the late 70's. I have thought of him often over the years. He was the Area Defense Counsel and I was his defense investigator. I always hoped we'd meet again. Maybe we still will.

My sincere condolences to Barry's family. Barry was a good friend of my mine at NYU. He was such a thoughtful, warm, generous and fun person. Over the years we reconnected through class reunions, and communicated occasionally via email. He still maintained his amazing wit and sense of humor. I will miss him, but will always have wonderful memories of him.

Barry I will miss you and all the crazy funny conversations. We never got to broadcast our radio show. ... Don't worry honey I'll get you that diamond back!! Xoxo Donna

Good Bye to a good friend.

I'm so sorry to hear of Barry's passing. He was a dear friend during our time together in Roslyn High School. He was such a funny and very gentle soul, who made those anxious years much easier, and more fun. I've little doubt he was a wonderful presence in the lives of those who surrounded him. Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss.

I enjoyed working at the Nassau County Attorney's Office with Barry. I have nice memories.

Very sad to have learned of Barry's death from other members of the Roslyn High School Class of 1967, many of whom also share in their condolences to his family. I remember Barry fondly and vividly as an assistant puppeteer in Larry Engler's and my 1966 musical rendition of the Chester Cycle "Adam and Eve," including music I later re-used in the 1995 naturist musical "Adam & Lilith & Eve," the 2015 revival of which is on YouTube. Barry's diligence and sense of humor will be much...

Barry served his community for many years with integrity, care and compassion. This loss will be felt by the entire Carle Place community for years to come.
