He was a life-time friend of my husband, Edwin A. Ricketts whom he joined the Marine Corp on the same day. Ed wanted to join the Navy, but Barry wanted the Marine Corp so they flipped a coin and Ed lost two out of three. Barry was always a friendly and fun person to be around. On behalf of the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment's veterans of Vietnam and Cambodia please accept our condolences. Chief Farris served proudly in Headquarters Troop of the 2nd Squadron in Vietnam in 1971 and 1972.
