We started teaching at the same time at Lima Senior High School but I left for another school after five years. His math department was next to my social studies department and it was easy to realize he would be a teacher who would impact students with his knowledge, personality, and professionalism. I remember him always having a smile on his face and a friendly hello. Thoughts and prayers with family.
