Read MoreHave never forgotten about PVT Barry Mayo. Was in Pontotoc, MS at the time. Saw the streets lined with flags. Cried many tears and still do. Wanted so much to attend his viewing and funeral but I was a stranger. I was so impacted by his death. Resonates with me to this day. I didn't know him or the family personally but I've never forgotten him.
