Not sure what to say?

Our memories of Barry and family go back to their days on Cordova Street in Winnipeg. How sad to hear of Barry's passing. Our thoughts are with you all during this difficult time.

I knew Barry from the days of P.S. Ross & Partners. I was a National Partner with Barry in Toronto. Barry was a true professional and a mentor to many who made it to partnership. Barry, as I, were jazz lovers and spent many hours in the evening discussing and exchanging on the subject.

On behalf of my wife Diane and I, my most sincere condolences to family and close friends.

Barry, Uncle Barry, godfather Barry, business mentor Barry; I will miss you. I learned so much tonight at the celebration of you life, I learned how many people loved you, how many people’s lives you touched so deeply, and how many people have benefited from knowing you.
I love you, thank you for touching my life, and I am a better person because I knew you.
I will miss you,
John

My name is Betty Smith and I was related to Barry through our grand mothers. We never met. My grandnother was Laura Payne, a sister to Vina Payne. Laura married Robert Reilly. I am saddened to hear of Barry's death. My husband and I visited Ottawa frequently, but I was unaware that Barry and his family lived in Ottawa. Had I known , we would have visited and gotten to know another cousin.
My thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.

Scott, Liz, Cynthia,

It was sad to here the news about your Dad's passing.
Barry was always a generous and lively host during visits to your house on Picadilly Street.

He will be missed.

All the best,

Scott, Liz, Cindy and Penny

I was so sorry to hear that Barry lost his battle with cancer. He always spoke so proudly of you and his grandchildren. I enjoyed hearing his stories of the adventures that the family were having. Although Barry was fighting cancer, he still made time to call me to see how my Mother and I were doing during my Father’s illness and death from a brain tumor. His words of comfort and advice were greatly appreciated. May you find comfort from your many...

Scott, Liz, Cynthia,

Brett and I were deeply saddened to hear the news of your father's passing. We enjoyed meeting your Dad through various Jazz events in the last few years, and took real pleasure in his company.

We're so sorry for your loss, he was a truly elegant and charming gentleman.
