Not sure what to say?

Barry was a truly special person. He just stood out as such a warm and caring person. I knew him through work we did together at Kaiser over several years. I admired his professional ability and always looked forward to getting together with him. I work with research projects all over the country with many talented people. Barry was just a cut above the rest. I'm going to miss him greatly. For Barry's family, know that his warmth and kindness touched people everywhere and his good work...

I am someone Barry Miller interviewed for an administrative position at DOR weeks before his passing. I received the sweetest email from him when I followed up about the status of the position. I will share an excerpt of that email. "I am confident that you will be very successful at DOR and that your career will advance quite quickly." So far, he has been right.

Barry was a very special person. He was always full of smiles and managed to be happy all the time; he never had anything bad to say but he would rather say a funny joke.
He will be missed. He was always a ray of sunshine in my life. He has inspired me to live my life with a little more awareness and love for others.
To his family, I wish you strength and send you love at this time of need.

Barry always had a smile and joke or two to share. We will miss you Barry. Many wishes for healing, and condolences to Barry's family. Much love.

My heartfelt sympathies to the Miller Family. I knew Barry from my time in DOQU. We always talked about running, races we signed up for and ribbing back and forth about the merits of the various running shoes. And what were we going to do with all those T-shirts! I will miss our conversations and the seeing him stride down the street full of life. Sending you strength and during this time of great sorrow.
