Barry Joseph Palmer

My condolences. Barry and I were on the NH American Revolution Bicentennial Commission. I was the editor and publisher of a quarterly newspaper and Barry was an invaluable associate. I couldn't have done it without him.

New him since the time we were 11 years old, and we both loved baseball. Played it not to well but played it a lot. Deepest sympathies to his family. Richard Anctil

We had lots of classes together from Junior High (Spring Street) all through High School and always used to hang out together during lunch break, along with Roddy Osgood. It's been a long time since I lived in Nashua, but I'd occasionally run into stories about Barry or letters he'd written to the Telegraph. I especially remember one of his letters about the closing of our parish church, Saint Casimir's. Last time I saw you, Barry, was graduation day but have thought of you often since then.

I knew Barry well from American Legion Post 48. Barry would arrive around 11am, drink his Port wine to get his "bioflavanoids", and read the paper. Barry would walk by tell me not to get up - I was already standing. Prior to leaving he would always come to me and say "Did you know" and always tell me some factoid he'd read about orangutan's or african fruit bat populations. Worked with Barry for many years at the Union Leader. I always enjoyed his humor. He made the working day a little brighter. My sympathies to his family and friends.
