I represented Barry's firm and Barry personally for many years in my law practice, and came to regard Barry with great respect and fondness. In recent years, after Barry received my holiday cards, I could always count on a phone call to tell me how much he enjoyed watching my children grow up through the holiday card pictures, and praising my parenting of them. I will sorely miss those calls.
My deepest condolences to his family.

I am so sorry to hear of the death of your loved one. Even though you are going through this painful time, knowing that Almighty God says one day he will "swallow up death" will perhaps ease that pain in some way. (Isaiah chapter 25:8) We won't have to hurt because of losing our loved ones in death at that time. What a loving God He is!

I will miss my energetic, fun, funny friend. He was always positive and would ALWAYS want to play golf or gin (again and again).
Boom Boom was also a mentor to me, teaching me how a quality man acts and conducts himself.
My condolences to his family, but I feel comfort that his strength will life on in all of us.
