I commissioned Barry to paint a picture of the Solent across to the Isle of Wight from our beach hut on Calshot Spit as a gift for my husband, Roy´s, 70th birthday nine years ago. I last saw Barry , tucked amongst the thornscrub above the marshes of Tanners Lane. In full flood, easel in hand we put the world to rights then moved on , me to the marsh, Barry to his easel. Fond memories.
