Barry & Joe shaped me when I was young in Nyc in 80's and in beautiful welcoming ways. I learned much from them, and counted myself fortunate to have shared wonderful weekends with them. Dear Barry, Our 10 years at 43 5th were magical and you, Joe, Baby and your family were such a part of that special time. Frankie and Alex were born then and became early playmates of Emily, Alice, and Nicholas. You had many parties, including your 60th birthday. I remember your laugh, smile, energy, and kindness. Bob remembers all the fun and interesting conversations he had with you before and after 43 5th Board meetings, including stories about your travels when you were in the service....

Will dearly miss Barry Savits .Was a kind ,loving and caring man.Met him in 2009 with his sons Frank and Alex In kenya while conducting a free cervical cancer screening clinic.He was full of energy,easy going and interacting with anybody he met during the event.Will miss his prowess and May they good Lord comfort his family during this hard time.

Barry Savits was a true renaissance man with wide interests, great intelligence, unlimited compassion, kindness, consideration and a desire to make this world a better place. He will be missed and remembered by all who knew him, I among them.
