CHICOPEE- Barry Simpson, beloved husband, son, brother and father, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on December 5, 2024. Barry was born on October 19, 1965, in Niagara Falls, N.Y. His entire career was in the hospitality business where he excelled at cooking classic and innovative food. He expressed his love through his food. He leaves his wife, Marie Simpson from Perth, Australia, his mother and stepfather Judith and Douglas Gates of Chicopee, his brother Michael Simpson and wife Lori, his children; Tess, Emily and Miles, his step siblings; Christopher, Timothy, Kari and Cherin Gates and his stepchildren; Dusty, Jess, Drew, Rick, Emily (Lloyd) and Jordi. He also leaves several nieces, nephews and step grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 12th from 4-7 pm at O’Brien Family Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St. S. Hadley, MA 01075.
