Not sure what to say?

Thank you Barry for all the years of friendship, your support of lawyers, and your support of civil legal aid.

Barry I will miss your humor and good nature . I have a lot of memories of all the fun we had in Monroeville when we visited. Rest in Peace Maureen Simpson

Was deeply saddened to hear of Uncle Barry´s passing. Thinking of all of you at this time. Love and support is with you all in this moment of mourning. With love from Sarah, Doug, Avery, Baby Tyler and CatRick.

Dear Kathi, Brad and Carly, So hard to believe that Barry has passed away. Joann and I have so many great memories of our times together at PBA meetings, dinners, parties, etc. We have been fortunate enough to participate in your family weddings, and we are deeply grateful to count you as dear friends. Barry was a trusted and loyal friend and adviser to me, and we became like brothers during those years when I served as a PBA officer. He was a proud husband and father......a perfect role...

So sad to read of Barry's passing. My memories of him are from many years ago when he and his brother Craig were lifeguards at the Gateway Heights Swim Club in Monroeville who taught me how to swim. I later followed his educational path through Gateway High School (where his sister Pam was in my class), Penn State, and Pitt Law School. My condolences to his family on their loss. May his memory be for a blessing to them.

Barry and I had a superb working relationship during his entire tenure with the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He was supportive, never micro-managed, appreciated my insights, and encouraged me to overcome every challenge I encountered, both at work, and personally. He was caring, eminently huggable, had a great sense of humor, and was incredibly smart. I was blessed to work for him for a quarter century. His legacy will endure.

I was shocked and saddened to hear about Barry's untimely passing, and I have been struggling to put into words my deep feelings about the loss of Barry, not just as a long-time friend, but also as a mentor and previous law partner in Pittsburgh for several years. I remember his professionalism, steady guidance, insight and sharp legal mind. What stays with me are the moments in and outside the office, and the many conversations we had that stretched long after the workday was done.

Barry was a wonderful man and will be missed. I had the pleasure of getting to know him when he served as president of the Penn State Alumni Association. My condolences to the family. I hope memories of their time spent together continue to bring smiles to their faces even through their grief.

I got to know Barry when he was appointed to the CLE board. Barry had such a lovely and gentle style and always had a funny story to tell. He was a voice of practicality and reason. I am sorry he is gone so soon. My heart goes out to his wife and family.
