Not sure what to say?

Barry, You were always the one i Turned to for solid, knowledgeable advice regarding structural support systems for many of my projects. You always took the time. Your Deck was the first Redwood Deck I Ever build (25 years ago!!) I always appreciated how you looked at things down to the finest of details, Your attention to detail was very contagious to me. You will Be Deeply Missed!!! Give Douglas a hug from all of us!! God Speed!

My Dear Friend Carol, I just heard from Tom in NYC that Barry had passed away; I am sorry I was not aware. There are so many wonderful memories I have of your gracious and always engaging husband. May you find solace in all the wonderful years you had together. God Bless, Roger

Barry was my late husband's cousin. I have very fond memories of Barry. In particular, I recall watching Brown's games every Sunday at Ruthe and Smitty's. Barry was always one for stimulating conversation and I believe he enjoyed taking the other side in an argument just for the heck of it. I truly enjoyed that about him.

My other fond memory is of Barry coming out to our house in Kirtland. He would bring buckets and make his way into the woods to dig up ferns and a few wildflowers...

We are very sad and also so glad we got to spend some time with Barry and hear his great stories. Love from Amy and Matt Schmit

Sorry for the loss to your family; I will always remember Barry fondly .

Memories surface as I grieve Barry's passing. I will always remember his Christmas parties, and good conversation with him over coffee in Tremont. He was a cultured and enlightened man, and I will miss him very much. My deepest condolences to his family, and much love to them at this time.

So many fond memories of my cousin Barry, from family gatherings at Aunt Ruthe's and Uncle Smitty's to remodeling the house in Cleveland City. Barry always brought a smile to our faces. Even though it had been a while since we had seen or spoken to each other the sting of his loss is still very real. My heart goes out to the Smith family. Until we meet again dear cousin; may angels lead you in.

We are truly saddened to hear of our cousin Barry's death and his courageous battle with cancer. But he will live on in our fond memories of a passionate architect who loved old sports cars and his city of Cleveland. Our condolences to the family and our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
