Not sure what to say?

I remember Spooky Stang . He was a year behind me in school at St. Regis. So much fun. He will be missed and sounds like he had many, many friends.

I worked in 1991 Legislative Session & 2 following Special Sessions as Bills Coordinator & Reading Clerk Rep Stang (his title at the time) was an inspiration and great guy to know with many others and the staff, I encourage everyone to take families on a free tour of Montana State Capitol in memory of Spook and the freedoms of this great State of Montana ..., May God Bless You

Spook Stang was a good man. I liked him, I will miss him. As a State Representative and Senator he understood and liked his constituents and, I think, served them well and faithfully. I was one of them. He knew his own mind and was steadfast in his beliefs. I enjoyed it when we agreed and respected him when we didn't.

I always enjoyed exchanging Hunting and ATV adventures with Spook at the Motor Carriers of Montana events. What a great Montanan.

My earliest memories of Spook go back to Carroll College days. He was the same affable guy throughout his life as he was back then. I will always remember the good times we had traveling on vacation retreats with the "Bobcat Babes" (our wives and girlfriends). Spook was our token Griz fan. He was also a very wise political mentor. Although Spook and I weren't of the same political party, he always had an ear for me during my campaigns for office. We should all take a page from the Barry...

We served with Spook in the Montana Senate. He was a great guy who represented his constituents well. He could always be counted on to do the right thing. He will be remembered fondly.

Spook was a wonderful person and boss! We worked together 9 years at Motor Carriers of Montana. He always exuded kindness, compassion and generosity to me and my kids. He had the best laugh and sense of humor. Over the years, I was privileged to learn about and meet his children, hear of his grandchildren, special friends, and meet his buddy Bob, who'd visit from time to time at the office. He was surrounded by loving family and friends. His favorite lunch spot was Jorgenson's most every day....

This one is a shock. I was in the state Senate with Spook in 1993--opposing parties but that seemed to make no difference to him. He was very likable and easy to work with. Besides legislation, he was quite a promoter of the Senate vs. House basketball game. I was looking forward to running into him again. R.I.P., Spook. You were both a great guy and a good man.

Ryan, I am so sorry for your loss, I was blessed to have gotten to meet him, what an amazing life he lived!! I know this is a blessing but also a tough thing to process. Even though its expected you are never ready to lose your parent. My thoughts are with you during this time.
