Not sure what to say?

Mr. Talbot was one of my professors at SELU. He was a great teacher and always had a joke to tell you. I am so sorry for the loss of Mr. Talbot. Please know that he is watching down on ya'll. May all your wonderful memories bring you comfort in this time of grief.

To the Talbot Family:
I had the pleasure and honor of being a student in Mr. Talbot's Fall 2006 International Business class at SELU. Mr. Talbot taught me to do my best and always expect more from life. It is with great sadness that I read the obituaries today and see that he has passed away. I am sorry that I did not learn of his passing sooner as I would have been at the wake on Friday evening to share my condolences in person. Please know that MANY students were blessed by this man's...

My heart and soul are with you and my friends who are your family. I just want you to know that Mr. Talbot better known to me as Poppa made sure we all knew that we were part of his family. The immediate reply I usually get is "you must be from Louisiana". I always reply quickly with "your close but I do have family in...

I am so sorry to hear the news of Mr. Barry. He was a great man. We all share many fun memories of him. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Dear Talbot Family,
I have many pleasant memories of Barry when we worked together at Ethyl in Baton Rouge. My wife Anne and I send our fondest greetings to the family. We have been in Richmond for 22 yrs. and we really are sad at being so far away from many friends. This distance make it very difficult to show our care and concern in person.
Blessings to all the family,
David and Anne Johnson

Our deepest sympathy for your loss. Barry was a mentor and second father to me. I remember when I was 20 years old and contemplating leaving L.S.U. to accept a bookkeeping job with A&P Grocery store where I was working part-time. He encouraged me to stay in school, which I did. I would not have enjoyed my career had it not been for Barry's advise to stay in school.

He attended my college graduation and my wedding, even though it meant him traveling to Houston.

He was a good...
