I didn't know Barry personally, but I remember the Kindness Campaign very well. I was a 4th grade teacher in District 11 in the 90s, and my students embraced this philosophy with open arms. I made it part of my "curriculum" for the rest of my career. How much more kindness and compassion exist in this world because of Barry, we will never know, but it must be incredible!
