Not sure what to say?

Barry was a great guy. I loved studying with him and his playing always blew me away. Thank you Barry.

Barry was a great musician. Wonderful to listen to and absorb. We came to watch him monthly playing in Venice and always had a great time. He was also so kind and encouraging. He will be sorely missed.

I was fortunate enough to study guitar with Barry in the 90's. He was such a kind hearted man and a masterful jazz guitarist. He took me to several of his gigs in major recording studios with other top notch musicians and had so much respect among his peers. He played so beautifully and effortlessly... I was fortunate to study for just over a year with Barry. He was a masterful guitarist and such a kind hearted man. He took me to several of his gigs at studios with other musicians and he had such high respect among his peers. He will be missed by so many. I remember this great photo of him playing with Elvis back in the day. I wish I could go back in time and have another guitar lesson with him. It was amazing to see him play and I feel so lucky to have had him as a teacher.

I miss you, Barry. Now, you're playing with the greats. You were the best.

Besides being one of the finest musicians I have worked with, Barry was a total Prince of a human being and liked by all he met. So sad to learn of his death.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

I became Barry's student because I want to learn how to play Jazz guitar. I learned so much from him in the short time we worked together; he took all the things I learned studying music and applied them to the guitar which completely blew me away and have been obsessed with Jazz ever since.

I still remember the first song he had me learn. We sat down to play it and he asked me to play the melody while he played the chords; at one point I messed up and added a note. We kept playing...

I met Barry right after he graduated from North Hollywood High School. I use to Take him to Valley College every morning. I played gigs with him. He was a part of my life. I will miss him. He was a wonderful musician, he had a wonderful sense of humor and, most of all, was a beautiful loving person.
